Market Drayton Police Station completed

Construction work has completed on the new police station in Market Drayton. The existing 1930 building has been replaced with a sustainable and purpose built station, with Associated Architects working with the local planning authority to develop a contemporary design which is sensitive to the surrounding area.

The building has achieved an Excellent rating under BREEAM 2008 and exceeds the Building Regulation requirements for thermal insulation. Through minimising the requirement for mechanical ventilation systems and achieving an airtightness standard of 2.6m³/m²/hr at 50pa, the building’s energy consumption is further reduced.
