Current Vacancies

Experienced Project Architects 

Birmingham Studio

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Birmingham Studio.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Five years qualification as an Architect (RIBA/ARB registered or eligible for registration).
  • Strong technical and design skills, with the ability to produce high-quality architectural information. Revit knowledge is highly desirable, however training can be provided.
  • Experience leading and delivering architectural projects through a range of project stages.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations and other relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to manage project responsibilities effectively, balancing design quality, programme requirements and client expectations. 
  • Experience of working collaboratively with clients, consultants, contractors and wider project teams. 
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
  • Experience of site visits and construction-stage activities.

Architectural Technologists 

All Studios:

Birmingham | Leeds | Oxford

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience: 

  • A degree in Architectural Technology (or an equivalent qualification), or relevant professional experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills for the role.
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in an architectural environment, with the ability to contribute effectively to the delivery of projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, with examples of project work that demonstrate your technical capability and approach to problem-solving. 
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory, planning and building regulations.
  • An interest in professional development, with MCIAT accreditation achieved or being worked towards.
  • Experience using AutoCAD would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and project teams.

QA / Document Controller 

Birmingham Studio:

Working practice-wide

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised QA & Document Controller to support quality, compliance and information management across our practice.

The role will involve:

  • Managing and maintaining the Practice Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Supporting ISO 9001 compliance, internal audits and accreditation activities
  • Managing project documentation and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
  • Maintaining practice procedures, standards, templates and controlled documents
  • Monitoring document workflows, revision control and project information standards
  • Supporting BIM and ISO 19650 information management processes
  • Assisting with PQQs, tender submissions and accreditation documentation
  • Providing guidance and training to colleagues on quality and document management procedures
  • Supporting continuous improvement and lessons learned across the practice

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in QA, document control, information management or compliance
  • Experience within architecture, construction, engineering, consultancy or professional services
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 principles
  • Experience using document management platforms or Common Data Environments
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong digital and Microsoft Office 365 skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM information management, experience within an architectural practice, and an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
