Telford Engineering official opening

We’re incredibly pleased to see the new engineering workshops officially open at the University of Wolverhampton’s Telford Campus. We have helped the university push their campus forward by providing them with a state-of-the-art facility helping them to deliver enhanced courses giving access to the forefront of engineering developments.

The new facilities which include new workshops with three car bays, benches and professional tools to support the University of Wolverhampton Race Team (UWR) students work on its Formula 3 racing car as well as £100,000 state-of-the-art flight and track simulators.

Professor Ian Oakes, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Wolverhampton, said:

“Telford is our youngest campus and a beacon of innovation in one of our greenest counties, where technology is pushed to new limits. By investing £10 million in advanced new engineering facilities and courses, we’re providing our students with everything they need to make their mark in industry whilst at the same time helping to strengthen the region’s engineering infrastructure.”
