Last week saw the official opening of Associated Architects’ designed Dog Welfare and Rescue Centre for the Birmingham Dog’s Home in Catherine-de-Barnes, Solihull. The new state of the art rehoming centre was opened by HRH the Duke of Gloucester.
The Duke was given a tour of the facilities, meeting the centre staff, learning about their duties, interacting with the dogs whilst learning about the charity. HRH gave a speech and unveiled a plaque commemorating the opening which will be installed into the centre’s reception area.
The event was also attended by The High Sheriff of the West Midlands, The Mayor of Solihull, The Earl of Aylesford, the design team, centre staff and friends of the home.
