Works at the Springfield Campus commenced yesterday and was celebrated with a ground breaking ceremony.
The site, located on the former 12 acre Springfield Brewery in Wolverhampton is being redeveloped by the University of Wolverhampton and CITB, with the first development being the “West Midlands Construction University Technical College (WMCUTC)”:http://www.www.associated-architects.co.uk/projects/education/colleges/wmc-utc/. The design incorporates an existing Grade II listed structure and a new build to deliver a facility that provides advanced level training in Construction and the application of Information Technology in the Built Environment. It will accommodate 600 students aged 14-19 preparing them for a variety of careers in the construction industry.
