A Real Birmingham Family

Last week the A Real Birmingham Family project was unveiled in Centenary Square outside the Library of Birmingham. The sculpture, which was partly sponsored by Associated Architects, was designed by Turner Prize winning artist Gillian Wearing. The project explores the idea of what constitutes a modern Birmingham family, it looks at civic identity and the shifting interpretation of the idea of what is a family.

Associated Architects has a proud history of supporting the arts, in particular local establishments and prizes that contribute the body of work created by the city.
