Paradise Circus Shortlist

Associated Architects has been asked to take part in a limited competition to design a new office building on Plot D of the “Paradise Circus development”:http://www.paradisecircus.co.uk/. This will be a key building marking the start of the development and establishing an appropriate relationship with the group of listed civic group of buildings such as the Town Hall and Council House.

Altogether, the ten allotted plots at Paradise Circus will create 1.5 million sq.ft of contemporary, office-led, mixed use development and will create a much improved setting for the historical civic buildings that surround Chamberlain Square. It will also deliver major improvements to pedestrian linkages including new crossings to the Jewellery Quarter.

Matthew Goer, director for Associated Architects said, _‘Paradise Circus is a milestone project that will completely revitalise the city centre and help deliver the vision of the Big City Plan. Associated Architects will use its understanding and appreciation of the site’s context and history to inform its approach.’_
