Opened in 1885, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) has a collection of international importance and is housed in the Grade II* listed Council House complex in the centre of Birmingham.
A carefully considered combination of reconfiguration of the existing space in the original 1960s building to make more efficient and better use of the area, demolition of selected assets within the grounds.
This new library for the University of Leicester recycled and extended the existing library structure within a new sustainable envelope: full of natural light and fresh air.
