Givemaas – First Week Successes!

Our 2023 Charity Event – Givemaas got off to a great start and the first week has seen a number of activities!

Firstly, we were delighted to welcome University of Wolverhampton School of Architecture students to our Birmingham studio as part of their Birmingham city centre field trip. Jonathan Dawson-Bowman, Mubashir Ahmed, Toby Westwood, Batool Hamadi and Beth Astington volunteered to give up their lunch breaks to speak to students about the realities of life in practice and offer careers advice.

Architectural Assistant Kyle Conway headed over to the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design as a guest critic for the day while Associate Jonathan Dawson-Bowman returned to the University of Wolverhampton to take part in the The Institute of Historic Building Conservation’s day at the RIBA Reinvention Award shortlisted School of Architecture and the Built Environment.

Finally, on what was one of the coldest nights of the year so far, brave team members (Toby Westwood, Kyle Conway, Josh Dudley, Elliott O’Brien and Beth Astington) took part in the St Basil’s Big Sleep Out.

Thank you to all those that have donated so far, helping us to raise almost £2,000 for in total. You can still sponsor us here: https://stbasils.enthuse.com/pf/beth-astington
