Aston Webb Student Hub Opening

Last week saw the official opening of Associated Architects’ latest completed project at the University of Birmingham. “The Student Hub” is housed in the Grade II* listed Aston Webb C Block.

The Hub was opened by Professor Sir David Eastwood, Vice Chancellor of the University of Birmingham who said “I would like to thank Associated Architects for designing a space which met our vision for what a student hub should be, and I am hugely impressed, as I am sure you will be, at what they have managed to create within the constraints of our magnificent Aston Webb building.”

The refurbishment of the Hub provides a modern support facility for a wide range of the University’s services incorporating a reception/information zone, a suite of one-to-one consultation rooms, mixed social and learning spaces and a 250 capacity lecture theatre.
