T-Level Tours

Our Leeds studio was delighted to welcome students from the Construction Design T-Levels course at Bradford College for an exciting day of learning and exploration. The visit offered students a behind-the-scenes look at our live project sites at the University of Leeds, providing valuable insights into the realities of working on large-scale architectural projects.

A huge thank you to Sewells Construction and I&G for leading site tours of two of our key projects:

Health Sciences Library – A transformation of the existing Worsley Building into a vibrant and inclusive study space, designed to enhance wellbeing and promote collaborative learning. Key features include five new rooflights for natural daylight, acoustic wall and soffit panels, and biophilic design elements such as moss walls and planting. The project, led by I&G (part of Sewells Construction), began in September 2024 and is set for completion by Easter 2025.

Cheney Biomedical Accelerator – A cutting-edge Confocal and Widefield microscopy suite for the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Faculty of Medicine & Health. Enabled by a £10 million alumni gift, this ambitious project aims to create a global Centre of Excellence, complementing the existing Astbury Centre for Molecular Biology. With strip-out works well underway, the mezzanine steelwork is due for installation in the coming weeks.

The visit provided students with a first-hand look at the technical, creative, and logistical aspects of architectural design and construction. Engaging with the next generation of industry professionals is incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to welcoming more students in the future!
