New Library for Royal Holloway

Associated Architects has been appointed to design a new £23 million library for the University of London at Royal Holloway.

The new 10,000sq m library will sit adjacent to the grade I listed Founders building.

The appointment follows last year’s competition win to carry out a feasibility study for the University.

Warren Jukes, director at Associated Architects, said, _‘The library is going to have a huge impact on the university, providing modern learning facilities for the students. Using our previous library and higher education experience we’re aiming to deliver an exemplar building that fulfils all the environmental responsibilities vital to good, contemporary architecture.’_
