City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra

Working with the “City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra”:http://www.cbso.co.uk/, Associated Architects are developing designs for improvements to the orchestra’s permanent home the “CBSO Centre”:http://www.www.associated-architects.co.uk/projects/culture/cbso-centre/, including improvements to ground floor public spaces, acoustic innovations, new seating in the recital hall and investment into core infrastructure.

Earlier this year, Associated Architects completed a feasibility study for the building, which assisted in securing Arts Council funding for the works. The CBSO were awarded £1,420,078, which will facilitate the building improvements and will assist in reducing annual maintenance costs, lowering energy consumption and increasing revenue.
