The £35m flagship office building designed by Birmingham based practice Associated Architects has delivered major cost savings for the Council and transformational change in its way of working. The building, completed in 2011, was part of a consolidation effort by the council to reduce their operational buildings from 55 to nine.

The BCO awards celebrate and reward excellence in workplace design. Judges praised the 22,000sq.m high quality, modern civic building.

Simon Alexander, lead Architect for the project, said, _“The building is a fantastic achievement for the practice and team. A National award from the BCO endorses the design and sustainability credentials of this high quality multi-functional office.”_
