Two schemes by Associated Architects have been nominated for the 2015 RIBA Awards, in the West Midlands category.

“Southwater”:http://www.www.associated-architects.co.uk/projects/community/telford-and-wrekin-community-hub/ One is a major component of Telford and Wrekin Council’s masterplan for a new civic heart to the town of Telford. The building mixes public library with a first point of contact for the council and commercial spaces for restaurants and cafes.

“St, Peters Academy”:http://www.www.associated-architects.co.uk/projects/education/schools/st-peters-academy/ in Stoke, completed in late 2013, is a 1,300 capacity secondary school with a specialism in communication. The school is comprised of five chapters that spread out from a central hub at the core of the site.

The award ceremony will be held in late April. Associated Architects are the most consistent winner of RIBA regional awards in the country and had three successful award wins last year.
