Associated Architects speak at RIBA BIM Insight Event

Associated Architects’ Revit Certified Professional, David Simpson today spoke at the RIBA Insight and NBS event; BIM Uncovered. Held at Aston Villa Football Club, the event was attended by over 180 manufacturing professionals. The leading BIM industry expert speakers unravelled the complexities surrounding BIM and explained the benefits that BIM can bring to manufacturers implementing the NBS National BIM Library and the NBS BIM Toolkit. David spoke at length about the use of BIM in practice highlighting his experience in delivering over £150m worth of BIM projects to date.

David heads up the implementation of BIM at Associated Architects, and is responsible for setting and monitoring company standards, as well as assisting Project Architects in preparing BIM Execution Plans, setting up Revit projects, clash analysis and auditing projects.

As Project BIM Manager, David advises clients on preparing EIRs, sets interdisciplinary BIM standards for working with other consultants, and works with Client and Contractor Information Managers.
