CBSO Grand Reopening

Today marked the reopening of the “CBSO Centre”:http://www.www.associated-architects.co.uk/projects/culture/cbso-improvement-to-facilities/ following a £1.8m upgrade by Associated Architects. HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex officially reopened the centre to an invited audience of CBSO members and associates.

The Centre has transformed the main entrance and reception area to provide lively and interactive spaces, and enhanced the rehearsal hall with a new acoustic canopy and lighting to improve the quality of concerts and rehearsals. Repair works to the building fabric and energy saving measures will reduce energy consumption and costs.

Ian Standing, Director said _”It’s been a fantastic opportunity to revisit a project we first completed 15 years ago and give it a thorough update. The improvements will help the CBSO reduce operational costs and provide a better visitor experience as well as improving the facilities for the orchestra and staff. We’re very proud to have worked with the CBSO again on such a prestigious project”_
