Prospective students for the School of Architecture and the Built Environment at the University of Wolverhampton attended the school’s open day this weekend, where they got to explore immersive VR content showcasing the new building they will be studying in from 2020.

The students, who will be studying a range of construction and built environment related courses were given the opportunity to see the new building via Oculus Go headsets that showed 360 degree views of various spaces in the building, as well as 360 degree photographs of the site before construction started.

The former brewery site in Wolverhampton will house nearly 1,500 students when it opens its doors next year. This was an exciting opportunity to show our vision for the site and the journey through the project so far.

The open day was rounded off with a visit to a secure section of the site, made safe for public access, where the progress of the transformation of Springfield could be seen in person.
