Planning permission has been granted for a new Teaching and Learning Centre at the University of Leicester.
The scheme will deliver over 8,825sq.m of new space for the university on it’s Freemen’s Common campus in the city. This including 600-seat and 250-seat lecture theatres as well as flat floor teaching spaces ranging in capacity from 30 to 120 people. The building will also house social, learning and exhibition spaces for up to 2,400 people.
In addition, up to 200 university staff will fill the remaining office space. The building will also feature a green wall on the external facade.
The scheme will form part of our wider university masterplan which has been developed over a number of years, most recently on the Freemen’s Common site in collaboration with Sheppard Robson.
