Celebrating Future Talent through Student Awards

At Associated Architects, we continue to champion the next generation of designers through targeted awards and education partnerships that celebrate creativity, sustainability, and innovation.

This summer, we were pleased to present the Malcolm Booth Drawing Prize in collaboration with the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design, where our founding partner Malcolm Booth studied and later taught. The award honours his legacy and enduring belief in the importance of drawing as a foundational architectural skill.

  • Winner: Tom Davis – £350
  • Commendation: Stephen Oshagbemi – £150

“Through the Malcolm Booth Drawing Prize we are proud to reward the next generation of designers from the Birmingham School,” said Managing Director Warren Jukes.

“It is especially meaningful to do so at the institution where Malcolm studied and taught before founding Associated Architects.”

We also recently sponsored two Practice Awards at Loughborough University as part of the LU-Arc End of Year Show. Merlin Toms was recognised for his creative and forward-thinking approach to sustainability, receiving accolades for Most Innovative and Sustainability.

These awards reflect our ongoing commitment to nurturing architectural talent, celebrating excellence, and supporting students who are shaping the future of our built environment.
