We continued our strong growth trajectory, as we welcomed twenty new team members across the Practice in 2025: ranging from Associate to Part I Assistants and strengthening our Support Team. Sixteen of these appointments took place between June and December, reflecting a sustained increase in project workload and continued investment in talent across all three studios in Birmingham, Leeds and Oxford.
We have focused on recruiting exceptional people who bring fresh ideas, specialist knowledge and a commitment to design quality and sustainability. This strategic growth ensures our business remains equipped to support a thriving workload and to continue delivering projects across a national portfolio from Yorkshire to Southampton.
New project wins, including many across leading, universities in the UK have played a major role in this expansion, as we are now appointed on major schemes in the south of England while continuing to work closely with long standing clients in the Midlands and the north. This includes significant new commissions in the higher education sector, underscoring our position as a trusted partner on complex research and learning environments.
The pipeline also includes large scale commercial offices, DfE, wider education projects and research laboratory facilities, alongside a series of retrofit, decarbonisation and modernisation programmes that align with our longstanding commitment to low carbon design and adaptive reuse.
Several key projects are set to complete in the coming months, including major schemes at the University of Leeds and in Greenwich, London. These follow the recent delivery of high profile commercial retrofit projects in Birmingham, reinforcing the practice’s credentials in workplace transformation and sustainable refurbishment.
With a growing team and a strong forward workload, we kick off 2026 with confidence, strengthened expertise and a clear focus on delivering thoughtful, high performing buildings that enrich communities and support the future of education, research and the workplace.

“Bringing twenty new colleagues into the practice this year goes a long way to demonstrate the confidence we have in our future and the quality of the opportunities ahead. We are committed to attracting talented people and supporting the continued growth of our studios in Birmingham, Leeds and Oxford.
Becoming an Employee Ownership Trust in 2024 has been an important and positive shift for us. It has strengthened our collaborative culture and ensures everyone has a stake in our success. We move forward with real momentum and a shared ambition to deliver the highest quality architecture for our clients and communities.”
