Away Day 2025

This year, Associated Architects brought together colleagues from our Birmingham, Leeds, and Oxford studios for our annual away day — a long-standing tradition for our the practice and even more important as we move forward as employee-owned. Held at the University of Birmingham’s Raymond Priestly Centre in the stunning Lake District, the two day retreat was designed to celebrate our achievements, look ahead to exciting projects, and strengthen our team bonds.

The schedule was packed with adventure and fun, including kayaking, paddleboarding, ghyll scrambling, canoeing, open water swimming, and orienteering. Everyone had the chance to challenge themselves, enjoy the outdoors, and share laughter along the way.

The first day ended with a memorable trip to the local pub in Coniston, completely taken over by our team, giving us the perfect opportunity to unwind, reflect, and toast to the year so far.

Our annual away day is more than just a break — it’s a celebration of our collaborative, employee-owned culture, giving us space to relax, have fun, and come back recharged for the projects ahead.
