Lapworth Museum of Geology

The recently completed Lapworth Museum of Geology at the University of Birmingham has featured in the Guardian’s report: “How to visit lost worlds: our pick of the UK’s palaeontology museums

Richard Perry, Director said “its fantastic achievement for the collection to first be finally displayed in full at the museum, and secondly for it to be recognised by the national press and on such a prestigious list”

The Museum was opened in January earlier this year by Sir Paul Nurse; a geneticist and Nobel Prize winner, Sir Professor David Eastwood; Vice Chancellor at the University, and Professor Alice Roberts; anatomist, anthropologist, broadcaster and Professor of Public Engagement in Science at the University of Birmingham.
