Sean Heneghan

Position: Associate

Sean originally joined Associated Architects in 2017 after completing his Part II and III qualifications at Birmingham City University’s Birmingham School of Architecture and Design. He remained with the practice until 2021, gaining valuable experience, before spending several years at another practice. He returned to Associated Architects in 2025 as an Associate.

As an Associate, Sean works across a range of sectors with a strong focus on education. A key aspect of his role involves close collaboration with clients and the wider project team to identify and develop collective aspirations from the earliest stages of a project. He has extensive experience engaging in diverse stakeholder and user groups fostering meaningful engagement to ensure the diverse needs are clearly understood and integrated into the design process. Sean has delivered a wide range of both new-build and refurbishment projects. His portfolio also includes large new-build primary and secondary schools, alternative provision settings, and further education colleges.
