Assistant/Graduate Landscape Architect

Birmingham Studio

 

Our Landscape applicants need to fit the following profile: 

  • Undergraduate or Masters level qualification in Landscape Architecture from an accredited course
  • minimum of 2 years relevant practice experience
  • Student licentiate member of the Landscape Institute
  • Strong design and graphic ability, including sketching, proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • 3D modelling software – Revit/SketchUp – experience is advantageous
  • Ability to liaise directly with clients in a professional manner
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both on your own initiative and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable to facilitate site visits, though we encourage all staff to use public transport whenever practical
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of landscape architecture

Newly Qualified                  Architect

Oxford Studio

 

We’re looking for a newly qualified Architect to join our Oxford Studio: 

  • ARB Registered
  • Strong design and organisational skills with the ability to work independently on packages and assist with project coordination.
  • Revit experience is advantageous however, training will be provided 
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of construction detailing.
  • Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Experience liaising with clients and consultants in a professional capacity
  • Some site experience, ideally assisting with inspections or reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take ownership of specific work packages.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite desirable.
  • Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Enscape or TwinMotion is helpful.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Part II Architectural          Assistant 

Oxford Studio  

 

We need a Part II Assistant for our Oxford Studio and we’re looking for:

  • Good levels of Revit experience is advantageous, however, training will be provided
  • Knowledge of statutory & regulatory requirements
  • An excellent design sense, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to liaise directly with clients in a professional manner
  • Site experience is highly desirable
  • Good technical skills (Experience using Adobe
  • Creative Suite is desirable but not essential)     
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Experience of visualisation software such as Enscape and TwinMotion would be helpful

Work Experience

Associated Architects are able to offer a small number of work experience placements each year to post-GCSE pupils and undergraduate architecture students.

Post-GCSE pupils (Year 11, 12, or 13): We offer a one-week programme in June in our Birmingham office. The week will involve a series of workshops and activities to introduce you to architecture.


2025 Applications are now closed. 

2026: Exact programme dates will be confirmed in early 2026.
