Experienced Project Architect

Birmingham Studio

We’re looking for Experienced Project Architects for our Birmingham Studio with:

5 years post-RIBA Qualified Experience
Good levels of Revit experience is highly advantageous, however, training will be provided
Proficient in statutory & regulatory requirements
Excellent design sense, organisational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD is useful
Ability to liaise directly with clients in a professional manner
Site experience
Good technical skills (Experience using Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but not essential)
Great commitment
Excellent communication skills

The ideal candidate will have several years UK-based industry experience running jobs across our relevant project sectors with a strong understanding of the UK Building regulations and strong verbal and written communication skills

Architectural Technologists

Birmingham Studio

For our Architectural Technologists we’re after:

A Degree-level qualified professional
A minimum of 2-3 years relevant architectural experience.
Project delivery experience is preferred
Very strong Revit capability possessing an extensive portfolio of relevant project experience.
Experience of statutory & regulatory requirements
Working towards MCIAT Qualification or already qualified is advantageous
Experience with AutoCAD is desirable.

Experienced Project Architect

Leeds Studio

We’re also after an Experienced Project Architect for our Leeds Studio with:

5 years post-RIBA Qualified Experience
Good levels of Revit experience is highly advantageous, however, training will be provided
Proficient in statutory & regulatory requirements
Excellent design sense, organisational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD is useful

Assistant/Graduate Landscape Architect

Birmingham Studio

Our Landscape applicants need to fit the following profile:

Undergraduate or Masters level qualification in Landscape Architecture from an accredited course
A minimum of 2 years relevant practice experience
Student licentiate member of the Landscape Institute
Strong design and graphic ability, including sketching, proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
3D modelling software – Revit/SketchUp – experience is advantageous
Ability to liaise directly with clients in a professional manner
Good communication and presentation skills
Ability to work both on your own initiative and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
A full UK driving licence is desirable to facilitate site visits, though we encourage all staff to use public transport whenever practical
Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of landscape architecture

Work Experience

Associated Architects are able to offer a small number of work experience placements each year to post-GCSE pupils and undergraduate architecture students.

Post-GCSE pupils (Year 11, 12, or 13): We offer a one-week programme in June in our Birmingham office. The week will involve a series of workshops and activities to introduce you to architecture.

2025: The programme will take place from the 23rd to 27th June. Please apply here by the 13th April. Successful applicants will be notified by the 18th April.

2026: Exact programme dates are to be confirmed in early 2026. Applications will open in February and close in March.
